Crompton Greaves wins 17 million euro order from Spanish firm Gas Natural Fenosa

NEW DELHI: Avantha Group company Crompton Greaves today said it has bagged a 17 million euro (Rs 125 crore) order from Spanish utility Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) for supplying ZIV single and three phased smart meters.

The company "has won a 17 million euro (Rs 125 crore) contract to supply ZIV single and three phased smart meters to GNF and will be the main supplier for the utility," Crompton Greaves Ltd said in a BSE filing.

According to the statement, ZIV smart meters will cover large part of the demand for domestic meters from GNF, having won the order of supplying 750,000 singly phase smart meters blast year.

GNF is a leading multinational group in energy sector and a pioneer in integration of gas and electricity.

Present in 30 countries, it serves more than 23 million customers with an installed capacity of 14.8 GW.
