Natco Pharma on Thursday reported an over two-fold increase in net profit at Rs. 24 crore for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2014.

The city-based company had registered a net profit of Rs. 11.32 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a statement.

Natco posted a 13 per cent jump in its gross revenue at Rs. 200 crore in the reported quarter as against Rs. 176 crore in the same period last year, it said.

"The turnover and the profit growth was driven by strong performance on account of export of finished dosage formulations to North America and South America in addition to growth in the domestic oncology products division by 17 per cent," the company said.

For the full year 2013-14, the company posted an 11 per cent increase in its gross revenues at Rs. 781 crore as against Rs. 705 crore in the previous year.

For the entire fiscal year 2013-14, the company posted a net profit of Rs. 103 crore, as against Rs. 72 crore the previous fiscal year, it added.
