B Medical Systems has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022 Investment Promotion Activity. A total of Rs.100 crore would be spent in the manufacturing of medical and cold chain equipment to help the Indian healthcare sector, according to the agreement.
The MoU was inked in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and B Medical Systems India CEO Jesal Doshi. Following the bilateral summit between India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, B Medical Systems signed the MoU to continue its investment efforts.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, a biennial event founded in 2003 by Narendra Modi, then Chief Minister of Gujarat and now Prime Minister of India, has grown into one of the most prestigious global forums for business networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships for inclusive socioeconomic development. The summit, which will be held for the tenth time in 2022, will provide an opportunity to address shared contemporary challenges and chart a path forward for global sustainable development by enhancing international cooperation and partnerships.
B Medical Systems India was established in early 2021 after B Medical Systems was invited by India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to establish a production facility in India to support the country's immunisation efforts. B Medical Systems India began operations of its corporate office in Mumbai in August 2021, and the development of its manufacturing facility in Mundra, Gujarat, is nearing completion.
