6 flyovers get a nod from MMRDA

MMRDA – The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority  approved construction of six flyovers and an underpass out of which three bridges will be constructed at Chheda Nagar Junction.

The plan is to construct Rs57.66 crore worth 680m-long flyover from Sion towards Thane parallel to the existing bridge. The second flyover would cost Rs. 94.39 crore 1,240-metre-long above the existing bridge for the traffic coming from Navi Mumbai and moving towards Thane. 650-metre-long and Rs. 52.28 crore third flyover would connect the existing Chheda Nagar flyover with Amar Mahal Junction flyover.

The remaining three flyovers are planned to come up at Larsen & Toubro Junction on Shil Phata-Mahape Road, Savita Chemicals naka between Ghansoli Naka and Talawali Naka, and an underpass to come up on Thane –Belapur Road at Mahape Junction at  estimated total cost of Rs337.85 crore.
