ITI Limited Secured BREDA Contracts of ₹37.5 Crore for Street lighting In Bihar

ITI Limited, India's first post-Independence public sector undertaking and telecom manufacturing company, has received ₹37.5 crore in Letters of Intent (LoIs) from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Authority. The letters of intent are for the installation of solar streetlight installations throughout Bihar.

The company's Naini Unit has received a substantial number of these letters of commitment. DPRO Katihar has issued a ₹8.58 crore letter of commitment to design, supply, install, test and commission 2,800 solar street light installations. The Mukhyamantri Gramin Solar Street Light Yojana funds this project, which includes a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) and a remote monitoring system (RMS).

ITI's Naini Unit has won a ₹28.94 crore contract from DPRO Katihar to design, supply, install, test and commission 9,440 solar street light installations under the same Yojana. This project also includes a 5-year CMC and RMS.

These installations will be carried out under the direction of BREDA. Solar PV modules, solar batteries, LED luminaires, mounting structures and balance of system (BOS) are the primary components of solar street light systems.
