Tata Power Secures PPAs for 350 MW of Solar Projects

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, an arm of Tata Power, has secured power purchase agreements for 2 solar power projects of 200 MW and 150 MW, respectively. PPAs were signed with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL).

The two solar projects will be located in Maharashtra and are set for commissioning by mid-2025. When operational, the 200 MW project is expected to generate 536 million units of electricity and help offset carbon dioxide emissions by 428,800 tons annually.
 
The 150 MW project is expected to generate 389 million units and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 311,200 tons annually.
 
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd has tied up 930 MW with MSEDCL, out of which 334 MW is presently supplied, and the balance 596 MW is set for commissioning in the next 12-18 months.
 
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd’s total renewables capacity stands at 7,783 MW with an installed capacity of 4,118MW (3,136 MW solar and 982 MW wind) and 3,665 MW (including the present 350 MW) under various stages of implementation.
