Dozee, British International Investment Will Increase Access To Healthcare Throughout India

The UK's development finance institution (DFI) and impact investor, British International Investment (BII), has partnered with Bengaluru-based startup Dozee to launch MillionICU, India's first AI-based contactless Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) & Early Warning System (EWS), which will upgrade 6000 hospital beds in 140 public hospitals across India and other regions. This will change the public healthcare system.

The partnership between Dozee and BII aims to increase healthcare accessibility throughout India, lessen the strain of healthcare professionals, and lessen nurse burnout and exhaustion in hospital wards. Almost 2.5 hours of nursing time are saved per patient each day in India thanks to Dozee's innovative contactless remote patient monitoring and Early Warning System (EWS).

Via the MillionICU programme, which Dozee launched in 2021 to build one million step-down ICU beds throughout India, and with the financial support of BII, Dozee will convert ordinary beds into step-down ICUs in order to quickly and permanently alter India's public healthcare system. More than 10,000 patients have been watched as a result of the MillionICU programme, which has already benefited 46 such hospitals in 15+ districts and saved more than 25,000 nursing hours.
