Gujarat-based KPI Green Energy (formerly known as KPI Global Infrastructure) has secured orders to execute captive solar projects aggregating to 23.60 Megawatt (DC) capacity. Out of this, it will execute 23.6 Megawatt for Nouveau Jewellery and 3 Megawatt for Nouveau Diamonds Manufacturing India.
Under the captive power production business segment, KPI develops, transfers, operates, and maintains grid-connected solar power projects for CPP customers. It generates revenue by selling these projects to CPP customers for their captive use requirements.
As of March 31, 2022, KPI commissioned 100+ Megawatt of cumulative solar capacity as an independent power producer (IPP) and 65+ MW as a service provider to captive power producers.
The company aims for a cumulative IPP portfolio of 250 Megawatt by 2025 and a CPP portfolio of 750 Megawatt by year 2025.
