To improve their business and investment connections, Haryana and Ethiopia sign a cooperative agreement.

Yogender Choudhary, the principal secretary for Haryana, and Dr. Tizita Mulugeta, the ambassador for Ethiopia, both signed the FFC.

Increasing economic and business links between Haryana and the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was the main goal of this summit.
 
The Foreign Cooperation Department hosted a two-day meeting of the Haryana-Ethiopia Investment Commission (EIC) in Chandigarh and Gurgaon. The Framework of Collaboration (FFC) between Haryana and the Ethiopia Investment Commission was inked during this occasion (EIC).
 
According to a Foreign Cooperation Department representative who shared information, The Department took a trailblazing step in October 2021 to hold a Haryana-Africa Conclave, Series-1, in cooperation with the Ministry of External Affairs. Twelve African countries, including Ethiopia, participated wholeheartedly in the Conclave.
 
The Department of Foreign Cooperation's 'Haryana-Ethiopia Investment Commission (EIC)' conference this year is yet another significant and special interaction between the two countries. The seven-member Ethiopian committee, led by Daniel Teressa, Deputy Commissioner of EIC, had a fruitful engagement with the business representatives of Haryana in the textile and apparel industry on the first day of the Meet in April 2022, a representative said.
 
The representative continued, "Dr. Tizita Mulugeta, the Ethiopian ambassador to India, subsequently joined the team in Chandigarh in April. Dr. Mulugeta praised the government of Haryana for working tirelessly to establish strong commercial, financial, cultural, and interpersonal relations with Ethiopia. There were members from the government of Haryana, as well as companies and exporters from the country's textile, agroprocessing, and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Mulugeta welcomed the Haryanan companies' investments in Ethiopia along with the EIC delegation. A brief presentation on investment prospects in Haryana and prospective cooperation between Haryana and Ethiopia was also presented at the meeting by representatives from the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Haryana."
 
The FFC was signed by Dr. Tizita Mulugeta, Ethiopia's ambassador, and Yogender Choudhary, principal secretary for Haryana, in the presence of D. S. Dhesi, chief principal secretary to the chief minister, Pawan Choudhary, advisor to the chief minister for the foreign cooperation department, and Anant Pandey, director general and secretary of the foreign cooperation department.
