Nissan to export Magnite SUV to 15 global markets from India

Following the success of the Magnite compact SUV in India, South Africa, and Indonesia, Nissan has expanded the Magnite's export market to include 15 additional nations.

Magnite, which is manufactured in Nissan's Chennai plant in Tamil Nadu, was released in December 2020 and has already received 78,000 bookings in India and 6,344 shipments abroad.

Following its triumphant debuts in South Africa and Indonesia last year, the award-winning vehicle will now be offered in Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Malawi.

"I'm thrilled that Magnite will be available to clients in so many more markets. It is a terrific example of Nissan's inventive approach to offering engaging goods to our consumers with a strong and distinctly 'Nissan' character," said Guillaume Cartier, Nissan chairman for Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania.

"Magnite is an amazing vehicle that exemplifies Nissan design and engineering as well as the strength and experience of Indian manufacture. Despite the problems of the Covid-19 epidemic and current semiconductor scarcity, more than 42,000 Magnites have been produced in Chennai since their inception," he added.

Magnite was the first worldwide product to debut as part of Nissan's NEXT transformation strategy, which shifted the firm's focus to high-demand goods that provide long-term value to the company and its consumers.

Sinan Ozkok, President of Nissan Motor India, stated, "Nissan Magnite is a real expression of Nissan's 'Make in India, Make for the World' concept. We are pleased to announce that the 'Big, Bold, and Beautiful' Nissan Magnite is now available in 15 regions across the world. It highlights the worldwide appeal of excellent design, performance, and value.

"It's a tremendous tribute - both to the car and to our India team - that we are already exporting Magnite to an expanding number of outside markets within only a year of debut," said Biju Balendran, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Renault Nissan Automotive India (RNAIPL).
