Two industry titans have pooled their resources to promote 3D printing usage in India.

Shree Rapid Technologies (SRT), a leader in end-to-end digital manufacturing solutions, has announced a collaboration with Formlabs, a prominent 3D printing firm.

By combining Formlabs' technology knowledge with SRT's sales and marketing presence, the two businesses hope to grow the 3D Printing industry in India and boost the use of 3D Printers across industries.

Shree Rapid Technologies (SRT) has been a pioneer in the additive manufacturing industry's development. SRT has aided in the evolution of 3D Manufacturing from being used primarily for prototyping to being utilised for mass production, with over 500 installations around the country printing over half a million components on a daily basis.

The recent expansion has offered up a plethora of opportunities for both major and small businesses. SRT's partnership with Formlabs, a leading 3D printing firm, will help it accelerate its growth and extend the use of 3D printers across sectors.

Formlabs' Desktop 3D Printers are a cost-effective and adaptable way to 3D print things in the office utilising the latest Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) technology.

With its low cost, compact size, and quick print speed 3D Printers and over 30 different materials, Formlabs has set industrial benchmarks in Desktop 3D Printers. Helping startups, small and medium-sized businesses, and large-scale manufacturers set up digital manufacturing units and realise economies of scale through low-cost 3D printing.

Due to the high investment quotient and the assumption that 3D printing is mainly used for prototyping, 3D printing has seen modest growth in India. This alliance hopes to change that by assisting manufacturers in making faster decisions, hence assisting the economy's growth.

Shree Rapid Technology has led the way in introducing new technologies, identifying industry pain areas, and providing the best solution to its clients. SRT, with its pan-India reach and footprint, is prepared to make 3D printing accessible to all with Formlabs. Regardless of financial capabilities or industry, Formlab's cheap variety of 3D Printers and SRT's sales and marketing reach will improve every manufacturer's access to 3D Printing. Assisting the mainstream adoption of 3D printing.

“Formlabs India operations began in May 2020, and since then, we have expanded our partner footprint in India. With this partnership with SRT, we are extremely optimistic, and we look forward to increasing the adoption of Formlabs 3D printing workflow in India,” says Vishwanath Harapanahalli, Channel Sales Manager, Formlabs India.

SRT, with its national presence and multi-vertical expertise, is our strategic partner in pursuing new verticals that can benefit from and adopt Formlabs' high-quality 3D printing workflow, which includes not only 3D printing hardware but also a wide range of resins for testing different applications, as well as the post-processing unit included with the preform software.

We'd like to extend a warm welcome to Team SRT to our Formlabs family. I'm looking forward to working with you to expand the applications of 3D printing in India.”

“Since the founding of SRT in 2007, it has been our basic belief that 3D Printing should become a part of every industrial workflow,” says Nitin Chaudhari, Partner at SRT. The merger of the two companies will aid in the wider use of 3D printing. Formlabs has been able to address the cost issues of 3D printing by offering high-quality components at an inexpensive price with their low-cost solutions, thanks to their technology and vast selection of materials. Given the dynamism of the market and the preparedness to use 3D Printing, Given the dynamism of the market and the eagerness to use 3D printing, having Formlabs on board with us is a delight.”
