SureColor SC-P7500 and SC-P9500 are Epson's first 12-colour large-format printer and it claims to offer a wide colour gamut with 99% Pantone coverage.
Digital imaging specialist, Epson was honoured with a iF Design Award for its large format printers Surecolor SC-P7500 (24-inch) and SC-P9500 (44-inch).
The iF Design Award is organised by Hanover-based iF International Forum Design. The winners are evaluated on the criteria such as practicability, workmanship, consideration of environmental standards, degree of elaboration and innovation, functionality, usability, safety, aesthetics, and universal design.
The 2020 award winners were selected from 7,298 entries from 56 countries and regions by a 78-member jury comprised of experts from around the world.
The printers are powered by the µTFP12 printhead with 300dpi resolution and 12 channels.
They are equipped with a sealed main unit that provides dust protection. In addition, its ink sub-tanks enable continuous printing, even when the ink levels are low.
As successors of the Surecolor SC-P9050V and SC-P9050G, regarded as the industry standards for reproducing high-quality images in fine art, proofing, and photo laboratories, these products provide the functional operability of high-quality professional tools, such as internal lighting to immediately check printed material and a neutral color that does not interfere when making colour adjustments.
