Hyundai Motor India said it is gearing up to export its compact SUV Venue to various marketplaces including Africa and Latin America.
With a consignment of 1,400 units to be exported, the SUV is all set to venture into the South African market in December, 2019 from Chennai port.
In a statement, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said that the left hand drive (LHD) version of Venue is under development and is scheduled to be exported to Africa, Latin America and the Gulf.
The company, which anticipates bookings for the model to exceed 1 lakh mark in the current year, is geared up to ship out Venue to the South African market.
"A major freight of 1,400 units will be exported to South Africa from Chennai Port in December," Hyundai Motor remarked. The company is already exporting the SUV to Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius and Seychelles, it added.
S. S Kim, Hyundai Motor India Ltd MD and CEO stated, "Venue has turn out to be customers' first choice in India and worldwide markets. The model which was launched in May 2019, has penned a new success story, keeping a record of registering over 90,000 bookings in the country,"
