India-based laminated plastic tube packaging company Essel Propack has launched a new recyclable high-density polyethene (HDPE) barrier tubes.
The company’s research and development (R&D) team created the recyclable HDPE barrier tubes. They incorporated HDPE, which helps to increase the tubes’ stiffness and lower polymer content.
Essel Propack’s Platina 250 and Green GML 300 lamitubes offer sustainability and recyclability for the tube packaging segment.
The product will make sure that the company remains committed to its sustainability goals.
It will also benefit brands that want to move to recyclable and sustainable barrier packaging formats.
Essel Propack’s business leadership team said: “We are very delighted, as this will open the doors for many such innovations in the near future and we will proactively reach out to every customer to convert to this packaging format and boost the economy of scale to make this an easy adapting solution for every brand."
The finished Platina and GML tubes are part of dominant #2 plastic stream, which is used to recycle milk cans and juice bottles worldwide.
The company will focus on further product development and promotion within its customer base.
Essel Propack’s business leadership team further said, “this will enable Essel Propack to globally participate with customers and help them to achieve their sustainability commitments.”
