Honeywell Announces Plans to Expand in Pune

Honeywell has announced their plan to expand the manufacturing capacity of its facility in Pune to meet an added demand for their solutions both on the local as well as the international circuit. 


A company statement revealed that the expansion will see Honeywell double their operational space to 151,000 sq. ft. No cost estimates were mentioned in the official statement. 


The Fulgaon facility was incepted in 2014 and works to integrate the manufacture, testing and engineering of equipment for process industries such oil refineries, power generation, life sciences and many more. 


"The expansion of our plant allows us to now commercialise new technologies that are researched and developed in Honeywell technology development centres here in India and globally and with that to widen our product range and meet future customer demand," said Ashish M Gaikwad, managing director, Honeywell Automation India Ltd.


The company is a proud follower of the government’s ‘Make in India’ mission and have vowed to continue leveraging the existing local manufacturing expertise to serve clients domestically and globally. 


This new facility will allow Honeywell to greatly enhance on expertise and training capabilities and expand their range of products.

"With production and integration facilities closer to the domestic customers, we can seamlessly integrate customer needs and specifications into our products and solutions-helping us to serve them more quickly and efficiently."


Aside from the Fulgaon plant, Honeywell has a significant presence in Maharashtra with its automation and turbocharger manufacturing facilities based in Pune. ANZ MR MR
