Los Angeles based Berggruen Group have announced the launch of their ‘Keys Select Hotel’ in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The new property is the chain’s seventh acquisition in the state of Maharashtra and is expected to help Berggruen earn a stronger foothold in the region.
Head of Operations at Berggruen Hotels, Roshan Uchil said,” Kolhapur is an important market for Keys Hotels. The city boasts thriving industrial clusters and is also a bustling stopover destination en route to industrial and tourism hubs like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Goa, Tirupati, Mumbai, and Pune. These factors have led to the growth of a strong corporate consumer base and the new hotel will help Keys consolidate its position in this vital market and establish a stronger foothold in the broader western region.”
The hotel is located strategically in the Tarabai Park which is within close proximity to the railway station; this makes it the ideal choice for both business guests as well as leisure guests. It also offers spacious rooms, wifi connectivity and conference spaces.
The guests of the hotel will have the option to choose from an extensive multi-cuisine food menu which has a section reserved for special regional delicacies like Tamabada Rassa (a red hot and spicy mutton soup), Pandhara Rassa (coconut milk-based mutton soup), Kolhapuri Mutton Masal & Mutton Sukke (tender pieces of lamb meat cooked with traditional flavours), and Maharashtrian staple ‘Pithla Bhakri’. A selection of ‘home-cooked style’ dishes have also been infused into the menu.
Berggruen Hotels currently has 21 hotels in 19 cities of India.
