The starter motor and generator division of the Bosch Group has now become an independent company. The Bosch Group has renamed the same SEG Automotive, this change will come to effect immediately, the local division too will be called SEG Automotive India.

The company will now move forward with a new owner at the helm. Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co along with an investment group will now run the company.

Mr Anil Kumar MR, MD, SEG Automotive India, said that “The name is new, but SEG Automotive is committed to continuity, especially in terms of location strategy and our employees. Their many years of experience in the company, competence and commitment contribute significantly to our success. In the future, our locations in India will play an even more important role in the worldwide SEG Automotive business, and continue to be an attractive employer in India. We strongly collaborate with our customers to remain as the preferred partner in the automotive industry.”

SEG Automotive will now be focused on the production of cost-effective and environment-friendly hybrid technology for manufacturers of vehicles and consumers alike.
