Indian Oil export to Nepal rising

 Indian Oil is expected to export 2 million tonnes of finished products in the current financial year to Nepal. Speaking to journalists at the sidelines of the India-Nepal Business Forum, IndianOil Chairman, Sanjiv Singh, said: “We have exported 0.691 million tonnes of finished products to Nepal from April to July this year. 

 
Comparably this was at 0.578 mt in the corresponding period of the last fiscal. We expect to export around 2 mt to Nepal if the demand continues." Indian Oil exported 1.78 mt of finished petroleum products in the financial year 2016-2017. 
 
Singh said that he is looking at an increase of 5-10 per cent in the demand for petroleum products in Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
