It was April 2017, when Maruti Suzuki had announced that they have registered their highest ever monthly sales. At that time, the company had registered sales of 144,492 units. But now, 3 months later, the company is back with another update, which breaks their just recently created record.
For July 2017, Maruti Suzuki India sales stand at 165,346, including exports (growing 20.6%). In the domestic market, they have sold 154,001 units, marking a staggering 22.4% increase. Exports stood at 11,345 units, as against 11,338 units sold in July 2016. As a result, their stock is currently at an all time high value of 7,920 on BSE, after opening the day at 7,729.05.
Speaking about overall sales registered in July 2016, the number last year was 137,116. In the domestic market, Maruti had sold 125,778 units. Their year-to-date sales this fiscal too are growing at a phenomenal rate, much higher than the industry standard. Total sales this fiscal (Apr – Jul 2017) now stand at 559,917 units as against 485,559 for the same period last year (marking over 15% growth). YTD domestic nos stand at 522,432 as against 448,118 from last year.
Speaking about segment-wise sales, Maruti Suzuki has registered positive growth in all the segments they are currently present. Their Mini segment which consists of Alto, WagonR has registered growth of 20.7%, Compact segment (Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Dzire) registered growth of 25.3%, Mid-Size (Ciaz) segment registered 23.5% growth.
Similarly, Utility Vehicles Segment (Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza) registered growth of 48.3%, Vans Segment (Omni, Eeco) registered growth of 6.6%. Below is the detailed sales report for July 2017.
