AP partnership summit attracts mega investments

The Andhra Pradesh Government has signed 27 MoUs with several companies for tourism projects with an investment potential of Rs 5,200 crore.

The MoUs were signed on the concluding day of the 3-day Partnership Summit jointly held by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the State Government.

Essel Infraprojects and China-based Golden Concord Holdings (GCL) Consortium has inked an MoU with AP government for setting up an integrated solar equipment manufacturing facility in the state with an investment of USD 2 billion.

The Consortium also signed another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government for setting up a Smart Industrial Park in the State.The Integrated Solar Energy Equipment Manufacturing facility will generate about 15,000 skilled jobs.

Besides this, both companies will explore possibility of setting up Smart Industrial Park, which will attract investment of USD 9 billion in Andhra Pradesh through setting up multiple manufacturing facilities by Indian as well as Chinese companies.

Heavy minerals miner Trimex has signed two Memorandam of Understanding (MoUs) with AP to develop mining projects at Bhavanapadu and Kalingapatnam in the state.

The projects involve an estimated investment of Rs 2,500 crore and will generate 5,500 direct and indirect jobs.

Bhavanapadu beach sand heavy minerals project will be executed by Trimex Heavy Minerals (THMPL), while the Kalingapatnam project will operate under  the aegis of Trimex Ores (TOPL).
