Bengaluru just got India's first BBQ food bike and it's serving grilled goodies off a Royal Enfield!

Necessity is the mother of all inventions, but who would have thought that we needed a food bike in an Indian metropolitan city. But apparently we did and now it’s not just up and running, but also thriving.

Taking the trend of mobile food to the next level, two brothers in Bengaluru have started a BBQ bike, that serves grilled meat delicacies off a Royal Enfield bike. It’s the latest edition to the brother’s food fleet that includes three food tempos and a Nano serving ice-creams.

Arun and Krishna are the men behind the idea that is revolutionizing Bengaluru’s booming mobile food scene. The brothers thought of starting India’s very first BBQ bike food chain, The BBQ Ride, after watching the iconic Bollywood film Sholay, reports Homegrown. Except that instead of carrying Veeru in the sidecar, the bullet will be transporting a grill and a tava, without the usual hassles that come with parking a more spacious vehicle. In fact, the brothers found the perfect solution to their parking woes in the bike, that occupies lesser space and is capable of carrying all the equipment and food to serve 200 meals per vehicle.

Both the convenience factor and the novelty and the cool attached with eating from a joint that has a grill attached to a bullet, is working in the brothers’ favour. Besides having Royal Enfield themselves in full support of the endeavour, the brothers now have investors vying for their attention to fund the BBQ Ride. Arun and Krishna have now decided to order more bikes and are even planning to take four bikes to Goa, to cater to beach goers there. They have a menu comprising of some mouth-watering chicken legs, chicken strips and even prawn strips, besides a selection of wraps and burgers, as well as some amazing slow cooked lamb chops.

For drinks, they have a variety of mojitos to wash all the tasty food down with. The brothers are usually seen setting up shop around Kammanahalli and Sahakarnagar and the food prices are on the upside of Rs 100. So if you’re in Bengaluru and are in the mood for some amazing grilled goodies and meaty meals, you know where to head to. You can also contact this one-of-its-kind food bike catering service for your next Birthday party, poll party or event and they will offer customised menus, best suited for the event, on demand.
