Cardamom prices rose by Rs 6.10 to Rs 904.20 per kg in futures trade today after speculators created positions on the back of strong demand from exporters.
Further, restricted arrivals from producing belts also supported the upside.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange cardamom for May delivery rose Rs 6.10, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 904.20 per kg in a business volume of 251 lots.
The spice for delivery in April gained Rs 4.10, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 876.40 per kg in a business volume of 515 lots.
Traders said pick-up in demand from exporters against restricted arrivals from producing regions, attributed the rise in cardamom prices in the futures market.
