Tetra Pak's safe food ambassadors - spread message of food safety

Supporting the cause of food safety, Tetra Pak’s safe food ambassadors - engaged with hospitals across Delhi NCR and reached out to nearly 500 people to spread the message of safe food, health and nutrition on the occasion of National Nutrition Week from September 1 - September 3, 2015.
 
Seema Bali, Tetra Pak safe food ambassador and vice principal of St Mary’s School (Dwarka), in association with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, organised a three-day seminar which invited health professionals, mothers, young adults, NGOs and children.

Through a range of activities, Bali with other safe food ambassadors, Sangeeta Mahajan, Praggatti Rao, Payal Priyadarshini, Jayanti Ramnath and Charu Chhitwal addressed children, NGOs, nutritionists and mothers about food safety and the importance of nutrition and health. Priyanca Bhatia, another safe food ambassador from Faridabad, was invited by Max Hospital, Saket, to judge their in-house cooking competition where she demonstrated the importance of daily health and nutrition through her recipes.

In October 2014, Tetra Pak launched the Right to Keep Food Safe initiative, a public awareness initiative across India to empower mothers on issues of food safety, health and nutrition. As part of the initiative, 15 safe food ambassadors were selected to champion the movement around food safety and nutrition and become spokespersons in their own communities to increase awareness on this critical issue.
