Placing the road building mechanism on the fast track across the country, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) in a recent move has cleared the 287.36 km stretch of national highway (NH)-7 from two lane to four lane road in Madhya Pradesh at an investment worth Rs 4,345cr, said official sources claiming that out of the total amount, Rs 1,032cr will be used for constructing the 69.19 km long four lane road between Rewa-Katni-Jabalpur. Apart from this, second package of Rs 1,034cr will be used for constructing the 69.07 km long road between Rewa-Katni-Jabalpur.
The fourth package of Rs 1,035cr will be used for constructing the 68.28 km long road between Rewa-Katni-Jabalpur and that Rs 1,244cr has been sanctioned for converting the 80.82 km long stretch on Jabalpur-Lakhnadon section of NH-7 in the state.
