PUNE: Danube Buildmart, a building materials companies, is expanding its footprint in India. The company launched its fourth showroom in Pune, the first three being at Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Hyderabad .
Chairman of Danube Building Materials, Rizwan Sajan, said that established in Dubai, Danube Building Materials has grown from a small trading firm in 1993. "Currently we are providing interior fittings and our endeavor is to full range of building materials for Indian consumers," he said.
Ganesh Chanda, director sales said that the 4500 sq ft showroom houses luxurious products in architecture and home interior fittings including bathroom fittings , sanitary ware, chandeliers, garden furniture and steam fittings among others.
Chanda added that Danube entered in India two years ago and has been aggressively expanding its footprint since then. The company is present in India currently through four company owned showrooms, 16 galleries ( Shop-in-Shop concept ) and one franchisee owned outlet at Bangalore and a strong dealer network pan India.
"We aim to increase the total number of galleries to 25 this year out of which two will be in Pune. We also want to launch six company owned showrooms in cities like Kolkata and Silligudi to cater to northeast Market and Delhi NCR region which would operate also as a regional office and will have warehousing facility to cater to the northern region. With a total turnover of Rs 38 crore currently, we aim to target Rs 100 crore turnover in another two years. To add value to our Indian customers we will also be bringing European design furniture to India in next two years," Chanda said.
