According to Tanzania's Foreign Minister January Yusuf Makamba, 15 agreements covering several fields of cooperation would be signed between India and Tanzania. The major revelation we anticipate here is the transformation of the bilateral relationship into a strategic partnership. We anticipate the announcement of commitments to enhance trade and investment. We are expecting approximately 15 agreements that extend multiple fields of cooperation, both with governments and with business organisations. The foreign minister of Tanzania, who has already engaged in bilateral negotiations with his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar, is hopeful that India, a major provider of official development assistance (ODA), will announce the expansion of a water project in the African nation. So far, India has contributed $1 billion towards Tanzanian water projects.

Tanzania's President is also scheduled to address at a business event in New Delhi this October, where the two countries await prospective deals and partnerships between Tanzanian and Indian businesses. Boosting trade volumes is precisely one of the primary objectives of this visit and to address the regional Indian business community and also to inquire about any challenges with the Indian Government fficials.
