CGRDC plans Rs. 2,277-cr construction projects

In order to build well knit road network in the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) regions of the state, the state government in Chhattisgarh has planned the construction of 698 km roads at an investment of Rs. 928cr. According to official sources, road length of upto a length of 435 kilometer had already been laid in the insurgency infested districts. There is a proposal to construct 233 state government buildings with a sanction of Rs. 1,349cr. In addition to this, 49 buildings had already been constructed and bridges and railway over-bridges (144) of Rs. 1,050-cr had been sanctioned. 23 bridges had been completed till date by the state government. These apart, the state administration has already ordered the inclusion of Dhamdha- Gandai- Salhetekri in Rajnandgaon District in the ongoing roads' network project and also 39 kilometer road will be laid in these areas, said official sources.
