CHB launches 123-acre mega realty complex

Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB), in a recent development has decided to develop a multi-purpose complex on 123 acres in close proximity of Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park. Following the foot-step of Bandra-Kurla complex in Mumbai, the housing board is keen to build similar complex with studio apartments for employees working in the IT sector, hotels, office space, institutions like India Habitat Centre, India International Centre. In addition, the complex will also house an old age residential units and a financial hub, besides allotting major chunks of land upto10 acres to builders by way of e-auction to build world-class real estate projects. As per plans, CHB will offer 50% rebate in transfer fees to women in case of transfer of EWS & LIG dwelling units and 25% rebate in transfer fees to women in case of transfer of MIG & HIG dwelling units, subject to the condition that there will be a three-year lock-in period from the date of issuance of transfer letter, said an official spokesperson.
