Gammon India bags Rs 397 crore road project from Goa government

NEW DELHI: Gammon IndiaBSE has bagged a road project worth Rs 397 crore from the Goa government.

"Construction, operation and maintenance of balance work for four laning of the stretch of NH-17B from Varunapuri to Sada Junction from KM 13.100 to KM 18.300 and elevated road cum flyover...in the state of Goa on EPC mode," the company said in a regulatory filing.

Construction and engineering major Gammon India had reported standalone net loss of Rs 187.50 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 on poor sales and higher finance cost.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 120.27 crore in the same period last year.
