Amplus Solar announced the opening of Project Jai, a 360 MWp solar project on the interstate transmission system (ISTS) located in Rajasthan's Bikaner district's Jaimalsar village.
Commercial and industrial (C&I) clients around the country will be able to meet their green energy goals thanks to the solar power produced by the plant.
Bifacial photovoltaic modules, single-axis trackers, and fully robotic cleaning systems are all installed in the solar facility. The project is expected to save up to 50 million litters of water annually for panel cleaning at the plant by utilizing a robotic cleaning system.
Amplus Solar declared, "While known for being a trailblazer in India's rooftop solar market, the launch of this massive renewable energy project represents a significant diversification for Amplus Solar, further solidifying its position as a key player in the country's renewable energy landscape."
As a part of Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari), a provider of sustainable energy solutions, Amplus offers energy solutions to commercial and industrial clients by installing off-site solar farms and rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. It has expanded into new markets like distributed green hydrogen, battery storage, solar power for homes, and electric vehicle-based logistics.
Amplus services more than 350 Indian and international companies and owns and operates a portfolio of distributed solar assets totalling more than 1.5 GW. From 2017 to 2023, the company's clientele will have quadrupled.
