Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has extended the bidding for a cumulative 200 megawatt of grid-connected solar power projects to be developed in Uttar Pradesh. The revised deadline is extend till 30th November 2021. Technical bids shall open on 1st December 2021.
The capacity is to be developed in Uttar Pradesh Solar Park located at Kanpur Dehat and Jalaun districts. The projects shall be awarded based on international competitive bidding.
Uttar Pradesh targets to generate 10.7 gigawatt of electricity from solar energy by year 2022. Of this, 6.4 gigawatt will come from utility-scale projects and 4.3 gigawatt from grid-connected solar rooftop. The target will be increased to 15 gigawatt and 8.5 gigawatt, respectively, by year 2030.
