State-run National Hydroelectric PowerCorporation (NHPC) expects to commission nearly 610 MW hydroprojects this fiscal.
"We are hopeful of commissioning two units of 40 MW eachof the 160 MW Teesta Low Dam Project Stage IV in West Bengaland 330 MW Kishanganga projects," NHPC Chairman and ManagingDirector KM Singh told reporters here today.
The company is also hopeful of commissioning one unit of200 MW of the 800 MW Parbati II in Himachal Pradesh.
"We believe that not only we will be able to commissionthe Parbati II project but also confident that the Parbati IIIproject...will also commence operations. The water that willbe used for Parbati II will be made available for ParbatiIII," he said.
The 520 MW Parbati III project was commissioned completelyin 2014, but due to insufficient availability of water theproject was not operating in its full capacity.
Singh further said the Parbati II project will becompletely operational by November 2018.
