Design software giant Autodesk Inc is hosting its Autodesk University for the first time in India. Autodesk University is a famed conference for design professionals and will held on September 11-12 at The Renaissance, Powai, Mumbai. The conference attracts design professional from three main domains- architecture, manufacturing and media and entertainment.
Last year in December, Autodesk introduced its Autodesk University Extension (AUx) in Mumbai. Autodesk University Extension (Aux) is a part of the annual Autodesk University (AU) conference,the worlds largest learning and networking event for Autodesk product users,and held every year in in Las Vegas.
“The response we received from the AUx event last year in Mumbai has motivated us to bring the annual event to India. This year, the focus would be more on 3D printing, building smart cities and taking it to the next level. The event will be a good platform for interactions and networking for people in the design community in India. We have participation from professionals as well as students ,” said Pradeep Nair,MD India and SAARC.
Autodesk has partnered with AMD, DELL, HP and NVIDIA and will demonstrate the benefits that the combination of powereful design software with powerful hardware can provide to solving design challenges. The entertainment division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has also partnered.
“Design and engineering professionals will get the opportunity to sharpen their skills by interacting with the design community and also obtain Autodesk Certifications at the event,” added Nair.
Attendees will also get a chance to obtain certifications free of cost for the latest versions of Autodesk software like Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite.
The one and half day-long Autodesk University event is expected to attract more than 1,200 attendees.
The event will encompass several industry sessions for design and engineering professionals from Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing Media and Entertainment industries and would offer networking and learning opportunities to attendees.

Digital Bollywood CXO conclave in association with Anand Gurnani media where 25 companies from animation industry and 15 companies from the visual effects industries will showcase their works. These include leading industry players like Prime Focus, Red Chillies VFX, Tata Interactive, GreenGold Animation, Pyrodactyl, Prana, Discreet Arts, Xentrix.
Automotive Innovation Forum that will bring some of the best names in global and Indian automotive industry on a platform to discuss design innovation as a key driver to sustainable growth irrespective of economic turbulence.
