TVS Motor Company has expanded its line of high-end motorcycles in East Africa with the introduction of the Apache RTR 180 motorcycle in Kenya. In collaboration with Car & General, its distribution partner, the company announced the launch.
The 177.4 cc engine that powers the TVS Apache RTR 180 generates 15.22 PS at 8,500 RPM and 14.1 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. The motorcycle has a five-speed gearbox, tubeless tires, a larger rear tire, an LED headlight, race-tuned suspension, and disc brakes.
The product, which will cost KES 269,990 and be offered in Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black, and Matte Grey, will be sold through 12 Car & General dealerships in Kenya.
The introduction, according to the firm, builds on two decades of Apache brand development and is consistent with its "Track to Road" strategy. According to TVS, the show has over 6.5 million riders worldwide and is available in more than 60 countries.
Kenya is essential to TVS Motor Company's goals in Africa, according to Peyman Kargar, President of International Business. He claimed that the nation's developing urban infrastructure and expanding rider community make it an ideal market for the launch of the Apache. The company wants to provide performance-led mobility solutions in the area, Kargar continued.
Customers looking for a daily ride that delivers performance, comfort, and efficiency should consider the Apache RTR 180, according to Vijay Gidoomal, CEO of Car & General. According to him, Kenya's premium motorcycle market is anticipated to develop as a result of the debut.
More than 90 countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa sell TVS Motor goods; the Apache brand is also available in Europe, notably Italy.
