Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Motorcycle To Eventually Be Exported To 6 Nations

The world's first motorcycle fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), the Freedom 125, gave Bajaj Auto a significant competitive advantage. Even though the Bajaj Freedom 125's domestic sales have barely begun in Maharashtra and Gujarat, the two-wheeler manufacturer stated that it is eager to sell the motorcycle and has already identified six international markets.

Egypt, Tanzania, Peru, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia are the first countries that Bajaj has identified as possible markets for the new Freedom 125. Since the business has been selling its CNG-powered three-wheelers in these markets, there is already a large presence of CNG as a fuel choice, which would facilitate acceptance of the new Freedom. Additionally, Bajaj declared that it would shortly introduce the Qute CNG quadricycle in Egypt.

"Our initial focus will be India, which is a massive market in itself," stated Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto, during the launch of the new Freedom 125. He stated, "A few stand out, Egypt, Tanzania, Peru, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia." in reference to the international markets. We'll start investigating these markets once we've made a significant impression in India."

When Bajaj intends to start exporting the Freedom 125 is not yet known. But the company's primary goal is to establish the Freedom 125 in the home market. The company has started sales in Gujarat and Maharashtra and intends to go on to the UP and Delhi-NCR next. In contrast to other regions of the nation, these states have CNG fuel stations, which makes adoption considerably simpler. Around 335 cities nationwide have a bit over 6,000 CNG retail stations.

For the first quarter, Bajaj will limit the manufacture of the Freedom 125 to 10,000 units each month. Depending on demand, the company will gradually increase its manufacturing capacity to 30,000–40,000 units per month until the conclusion of the current fiscal year.
