Two months into 2017 and Tata Motors have already launched an SUV - Hexa , announced a new sub-brand - 'Tamo', teased an upcoming mid-sized sedan - Tigor and now have now taken covers off a concept hatchback called C-Cube.
Tata Motors described the two-door hatch as 'advanced structural technology concept' which is part of their recently launched sub-brand Tamo (short for Tata Motors). What lies under the hood of C-Cube is still a mystery. On the outside though, the car boasts svelte curves and lines while keeping a practically small profile. The front attracts maximum attention with the headlights appearing to have been seamlessly blended with the front grille.
C-Cube's showcasing comes on the back of Tata Motor's recent announcement of a collaboration deal with Microsoft India. The conglomerates described the tie-up to be on the technology front "to make driving a more personalised experiences for customers."
Emphasising on the importance of futuristic vehicles and artificial intelligence, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, "With self-driving and connected cars, the auto industry is at the forefront of changing the business model."
Tata Motors has elaborated the idea behind their new vertical as Tamo's vehicles will be that of a "niche segment with technologies that are ahead of market". The C-Cube is likely to underpin these technologies and concepts.
