NEW DELHI: American automaker Ford is soon going to launch the new 2017 facelift of its compact SUV EcoSport in India. If media reports are to believed, the vehicle has been spotted testing on Indian roads.
The new Ford EcoSport 2017 was unveiled by the company for North American markets in November 2016.
As per early reports, the EcoSport 2017 will feature tail-mounted spare wheel. However, this design is missing in the model unveiled in the global market. The SUV will also come equipped with new front grille, reworked front and rear bumpers, and new infotainment system complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto commands.
Talking about the engine specifications, Ford EcoSport 2017 will most probably carry the same engine from the cuurent model. The current EcoSport model sports 1.5L petrol, 1.0L petrol EcoBoost, and 1.5L diesel engines.
The current Ford EcoSport is priced at Rs 7.11 lakh - Rs 10.69 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
First launched in India in 2013, Ford EcoSport sold 3,761 units in January 2017 and its year-to-date (April-January, FY2017) sales stood at 39,324 units, thereby registering growth of 19 percent.
