Domestic passenger car sales rose 10.39 per cent to 1,73,111 units in November from 1,56,811 units in the same month a year ago.

Motorcycle sales rose 1.58 per cent to 8,66,705 units last month from 8,53,257 units a year ago, according to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam).

Total two-wheeler sales in November rose 1.47 per cent to 13,20,561 units as against 13,01,434 units in the same month last year.

Sales of commercial vehicles were up 8.56 per cent to 51,766 units in November, Siam said.

Vehicle sales across categories registered a 3.18 per cent increase to 16,54,226 units from 16,03,312 units in November 2014, it added.
